Sirwan Sami Abdul Rahman is Founder and Chairman of Renwa Group, a leading Kurdish Oil and Gas Services company in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
Mr. Rahman returned permanently to his native Kurdistan from the United Kingdom in 2004. In Kurdistan he has successfully invested in and directed ventures in trade, technology and commercial real estate. He formed Renwa Group in 2010 as a 100% Kurdish funded and managed Oilfield Services provider, and led the company’s growth strategy alongside Kurdistan’s progress. The company is now a leading supplier of technical services to International Oil Company clients active in the Region.
Mr. Rahman’s previous professional experience includes consultancy for Lord Tim Bell’s leading strategic communications company Bell Pottinger Sans Frontieres. He also worked for the London based international think tank The Institute for Statecraft where he focused on Middle East geopolitics.
